The IIA of IL is committed to protecting the health of CONVO attendees. We are following current Illinois mandates and local public health guidelines.
We have implemented the following actions to help keep attendees safe:
The IIA of IL will require all attendees to confirm that they are not displaying symptoms of COVID-19 and have not recently been exposed to anyone who tested positive. Anyone who does have symptoms or has been exposed will not be admitted to the event, and a full refund of registration fees will be provided.
The IIA of IL has moved most social events outside, including lunch Wednesday and the big party that evening.
Moving the social events outdoors opens up larger spaces for classrooms and programming. For those familiar with the Crowne Plaza, we will be able to move the classes from the tight rooms on the 3rd floor into the ballrooms on the 2nd floor.
As an IHG property, the Crowne Plaza will follow their commitment to clean standards.
The IIA of IL has suspended its cancellation policy for CONVO 2021 attendees and will honor requests for refunds due to pandemic concerns.
The IIA of IL will encourage frequent hand washing and sanitizing. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the hotel and tradeshow floor.
All attendees are encouraged to bring their own personal productive equipment (e.g. masks and hand sanitizer) for their personal use. IIA of IL will have a supply of masks and hand sanitizer available at the registration desk if needed.
In accordance with the current Illinois mandate, masks will be required in all public spaces inside the Crowne Plaza, except when eating or drinking. Masks are not required outdoors.
If you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive, we ask that you do not attend the event. A refund of registration fees will be offered, please contact email@example.com.
As an attendee of this event I agree to abide by the guidelines set forth by the IIA of IL and the Crowne Plaza. I acknowledge the safety measures in place as outlined on this page and agree to hold harmless IIA, for any illness or injury arising from my attendance at this event.
What to do if you experience systems during the event:
If you begin to experience symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, new loss of taste or smell, headache, congestion or runny nose or any other symptoms that could be consistent with COVID-19 while you are attending an IIA of IL event, please discontinue attending the event immediately (leave the public areas of the hotel and return to your room) and you are strongly encouraged to seek COVID-19 Testing at: https://www.covidclinic.org/testing-sites -62704. Additional testing sites can be at the Sangamon County Health Department website: https://scdph.org or by calling the local COVID-19 hotline at: (217) 321-2606, Mon-Friday 8AM to 4:30PM.
While awaiting test results or if you do test positive, please follow these guidelines or any specific guidance provided to you by the health authorities at your testing site.
All attendees are asked to report to the IIA of IL via text at 217-481-4800 if they receive a positive COVID-19 test during or within 10 days of the conclusion of the event. Attendees will be notified that an unnamed attendee tested positive during the event. Anyone identified as a close contact will also be notified confidentially of a potential exposure.
