Safety Precautions

The IIA of IL is committed to protecting the health of CONVO attendees. We are following current Illinois mandates and local public health guidelines.

We have implemented the following actions to help keep attendees safe:

  • The IIA of IL will require all attendees to confirm that they are not displaying symptoms of COVID-19 and have not recently been exposed to anyone who tested positive. Anyone who does have symptoms or has been exposed will not be admitted to the event, and a full refund of registration fees will be provided.

  • The IIA of IL has moved most social events outside, including lunch Wednesday and the big party that evening.

  • Moving the social events outdoors opens up larger spaces for classrooms and programming. For those familiar with the Crowne Plaza, we will be able to move the classes from the tight rooms on the 3rd floor into the ballrooms on the 2nd floor.

  • As an IHG property, the Crowne Plaza will follow their commitment to clean standards.

  • The IIA of IL has suspended its cancellation policy for CONVO 2021 attendees and will honor requests for refunds due to pandemic concerns.

  • The IIA of IL will encourage frequent hand washing and sanitizing. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the hotel and tradeshow floor.

  • All attendees are encouraged to bring their own personal productive equipment (e.g. masks and hand sanitizer) for their personal use.  IIA of IL will have a supply of masks and hand sanitizer available at the registration desk if needed.

In accordance with the current Illinois mandate, masks will be required in all public spaces inside the Crowne Plaza, except when eating or drinking. Masks are not required outdoors.

If you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive, we ask that you do not attend the event. A refund of registration fees will be offered, please contact
